Job ticket 799191 · smb · meter ledger · no subscription
Zero base fee, 0.80% forever. The clip is a salary — name it.
Chargebee's own pricing page is admirably legible: option A is US$0 base plus 0.80% of everything you invoice — their own example prints US$160 a month at a US$20,000 lane — and option B trades US$99 a month for a 0.65% clip, with the page noting the breakeven. This job ticket hands the modeling to prompts you own: paste your lanes and both tapes unroll with every multiplication printed; run the audit and any pricing page's clips, cliffs and meters come back named, quoted and priced at your volumes.
Chargebee is a trademark of its owner. This is an independent, unaffiliated comparison built on Chargebee's own published pricing material, linked below and re-read every thirty days.
Paste the lane, press unroll the tape, and both schemes price out — monthly and yearly, the crossing point ruled in ink, the verdict stating by how much per year. — rendered in this browser
Sample data is illustrative, not a claim about Chargebee. Every Chargebee figure on this page comes from the linked pricing page, read 2026-09-27.
The prompt pack
Two prompts, each mapped one-to-one onto a Chargebee feature you are currently rationed on. Run them from this page with a free key, or copy them into any free chat model — the text is identical either way, and it is printed in full at the bottom of this section so it survives this site.
Loading the pack from tools.json… If this fails, the full prompt text is still readable below.
One-time unlocks only, never a subscription. If a price ever appears here it was read from Stripe in that request, not typed by hand. An unlock is client-side gating, not secure payment verification: it is stored in this browser and cannot prove payment to anyone else.

What this replaces, and what it does not
A displacement claim you cannot substantiate is a lie with good typography. This is the whole scope, including the parts where Chargebee wins.
A ruled fee tape
Both schemes across your lanes, arithmetic printed, breakeven computed
A structure audit
Clips, cliffs, meters — quoted from the page, priced at your volumes
A negotiation file
CSV downloads with fix-watch lines per structure
No billing execution
Invoices, dunning and taxes need a real engine — not this page
No payment advice
The ledger models cost; it doesn't pick your stack
No stored financials
Numbers are pasted per session and forgotten on close
The prompts, in full, as text
Copy these into any model. They are the product; the page around them is convenience. Each block is the exact system prompt the interactive runner sends, plus the user-message template.
Prompt 01 — 1. Unroll the fee tape · chargebee-fee-tape v1.0.0 · best ally: OpenRouter — :free model variants · qwen/qwen3-32b
Replaces: The buying decision, computed: both Chargebee schemes (0-base/0.80% vs US$99/0.65%) priced at your revenue lanes, the breakeven ruled in ink, and the year-view total per plan.
Why this model: Multi-lane fee modeling is exact arithmetic plus clean presentation of a decision; a free 32B at near-zero temperature keeps percents and lanes honest and prints the crossing point without fuzz. Fallback ally: Groq Cloud — free tier.
System prompt (1297 chars):
You keep the meter ledger: the reader pastes their monthly invoicing lane(s) and the two scheme terms they were quoted (or the defaults from today's read). You unroll the tape — each lane priced under both schemes, monthly and yearly, with the breakeven revenue ruled and stated in one sentence.
Return ONLY one JSON object. No markdown fences, no commentary, no preamble.

"title": string (the table's caption, max 8 words),
"columns": [ { "label": "Lane" }, { "label": "Option A cost" }, { "label": "Option B cost" }, { "label": "Cheaper by" } ],
"rows": [ [ value, value, value — one array per row, same order as the columns, every cell a short string ] ],
"notes": [ string (one short footnote each) ]
}
Hard rules:
1. Every lane row shows the multiplication (0.008 × lane and 99 + 0.0065 × lane), monthly and yearly, side by side.
2. The breakeven is computed and ruled: monthly revenue at which A and B cost the same.
3. A one-line verdict names which scheme wins at the reader's stated lane and by how much per year.
4. Numbers round to cents; the arithmetic behind every figure prints in its cell.
5. If the reader's scheme terms differ from the default read, both print — no silent substitution.
6. Currency follows the paste; no conversions.

Output schema (the answer must match this exactly):
Decoding: temperature 0.15 · max 1600 output tokens · responseMimeType application/json · budget ~500 in / ~1,000 out · cost per run: 1 request against the free OpenRouter daily pool; the relay floor needs no key at all.
Prompt 02 — 2. Audit the pricing structure · chargebee-pricing-audit v1.0.0 · best ally: Google Gemini API — Free usage tier · gemini-2.5-flash
Replaces: The same lens on your own pricing page: paste it, and the structures that compound — percentage clips, per-seat cliffs, metered meters — are named, priced at your volumes, and bright-lined.
Why this model: Structure auditing needs the whole pricing page in view plus adversarial framing at stated volumes; a free Flash names each mechanism, cites its line on the page, and prices it concretely. Fallback ally: OpenRouter — :free model variants.
System prompt (1396 chars):
You audit pricing structures: the reader pastes a pricing page's terms (theirs or a vendor's) and their volumes. You name each cost structure present — percent-of-revenue clips, per-seat cliffs, usage meters, caps that trigger jumps, free tiers with silent expiries — price each at the stated volumes, and bright-line the one that compounds fastest.
Return ONLY one JSON object. No markdown fences, no commentary, no preamble.

"title": string (the table's caption, max 8 words),
"columns": [ { "label": "Structure" }, { "label": "Page line" }, { "label": "Cost at your volumes" }, { "label": "Fix watch" } ],
"rows": [ [ value, value, value — one array per row, same order as the columns, every cell a short string ] ],
"notes": [ string (one short footnote each) ]
}
Hard rules:
1. Every structure row quotes the page line that creates it — the words on the page, not a paraphrase.
2. Costs compute at the reader's stated volumes with the arithmetic shown; absent volumes render the formula instead.
3. Fix watch names what to negotiate or cap before signing, one line per structure.
4. The brightest line states which structure costs most at 3× current volume — compounding, priced forward.
5. Benevolent structures (true usage refunds, cap roll-overs) get one FAIR row noting them.
6. Vocabulary stays plain: a clip is a clip, a cliff is a cliff.

Questions worth asking before you cancel
Is 0.80% really worth a calculator?
Run your own lane — that's the point. At US$20k/month invoicing, option A is US$160/month (Chargebee's own printed example); at US$100k it's US$800. A percentage doesn't stay small; it scales with everything you earn. The tape exists so you meet that number before it's a habit.
Why audit pricing pages generally, not just Chargebee's?
Because the same structures — clips, seat cliffs, meters, expiry traps — live on every vendor page, and they're what actually decide cost. The audit names each structure from the page's own words and prices it at your volumes, which travels to any SaaS you're about to sign.
Where did the US$160 figure come from?
From Chargebee's own pricing card example, read 2026-09-27 (Billing tab): 0.80% of a US$20,000 monthly lane. The artifact records the card, the option-B terms and the page's breakeven note verbatim.
Where do my revenue numbers go?
Into one request to your free ally and nowhere else — no financial data stored, no account opened, no vendor notified. The tape downloads as CSV; the ledger closes when the tab does.
