Job ticket 809056 · smb · collection desk · no subscription
'Free' fundraising that skims every gift — and US$150 a month to skim less.
Donorbox's pricing page is frank: the Standard plan costs nothing monthly but takes 2.95%–3.95% per donation, Pro at US$150 a month lowers the skim, and the AI line on the Pro card is named Jay-AI. This job ticket hands what's left — which is everything before the rails: the copy and the math — to prompts you own: paste your campaign facts and the desk presses the box card with derived amounts and a plain fee footnote; run the toll ledger and the upgrade question returns as arithmetic with the breakeven ruled in ink.
Donorbox is a trademark of its owner. This is an independent, unaffiliated comparison built on Donorbox's own published pricing material, linked below and re-read every thirty days.
Paste the facts, press run the press, and the card assembles — a headline under ten words, the three-paragraph story, amounts that each name what they buy, and the footnote donors deserve. — rendered in this browser
Sample data is illustrative, not a claim about Donorbox. Every Donorbox figure on this page comes from the linked pricing page, read 2026-09-27.
The prompt pack
Two prompts, each mapped one-to-one onto a Donorbox feature you are currently rationed on. Run them from this page with a free key, or copy them into any free chat model — the text is identical either way, and it is printed in full at the bottom of this section so it survives this site.
Loading the pack from tools.json… If this fails, the full prompt text is still readable below.
One-time unlocks only, never a subscription. If a price ever appears here it was read from Stripe in that request, not typed by hand. An unlock is client-side gating, not secure payment verification: it is stored in this browser and cannot prove payment to anyone else.

| The job | Donorbox Standard | This page | This page + a free-tier model |
|---|---|---|---|
| Monthly platform fee | US$0 — but 2.95%–3.95% skimmed per gift | Copy + math, US$0, nothing skimmed | undefined |
| Lower skim | Pro at US$150/mo (Jay-AI listed) | The toll ledger tells you when that's worth it | undefined |
| Campaign copy | Blank box in the editor | The pressed box card with derived amounts, US$0 | undefined |
| Donation processing · receipts | The actual rails | Not displaced — stays Donorbox's | undefined |
What this replaces, and what it does not
A displacement claim you cannot substantiate is a lie with good typography. This is the whole scope, including the parts where Donorbox wins.
A complete campaign card
Headline, story, derived amounts, and the fee footnote in plain words
A ruled toll ledger
Skim at both corners, yearly view, Pro breakeven computed
Files for the campaign folder
Markdown downloads of card and ledger
No donation processing
Gifts move on payment rails; this desk writes and computes
No donor storage
No lists, no receipts, no CRM — paste facts only
No tax guidance
Fee math is arithmetic; deductibility questions stay with professionals
The prompts, in full, as text
Copy these into any model. They are the product; the page around them is convenience. Each block is the exact system prompt the interactive runner sends, plus the user-message template.
Prompt 01 — 1. Press the box card · donorbox-box-card v1.0.0 · best ally: OpenRouter — :free model variants · openai/gpt-oss-120b
Replaces: The campaign page: your pasted facts pressed into the full ask — headline, three-paragraph story, suggested amounts with their meanings, and the fee footnote donors deserve, written plainly.
Why this model: Fundraising persuasion that stays honest is a narrow craft — emotion from facts, never invented beneficiaries; a free long-context model at mid temperature carries the tone without ever leaving the pasted record. Fallback ally: Google Gemini API — Free usage tier.
System prompt (1432 chars):
You run the collection desk: the reader pastes their campaign facts (who, what for, what specific things cost, the goal figure) and their org's name and voice notes. You press the box card — headline under 10 words, the three-paragraph story (need, plan, what a gift does), three suggested amounts each named for what it buys, and the fee footnote written so a donor understands the skim.
Return ONLY one JSON object. No markdown fences, no commentary, no preamble.

"subhead": string (max 20 words),

{ "title": string (the part name; body: the copy for that part (STORY: three paragraphs, each under 60 words; AMOUNT: the figure plus its concrete meaning; FOOTNOTE: the plain fee disclosure)), "tag": string (one of HEADLINE | STORY | AMOUNT | FOOTNOTE), "body": string }
],
"notes": [ string (one short footnote per run-wide decision) ]
}
Hard rules:
1. Emotion must come from pasted facts — no invented beneficiary names, quotes or anecdotes.
2. Every AMOUNT ties to a pasted cost (or a computed multiple of one) — show the derivation.
3. The goal figure and deadline appear only if pasted, and verbatim.
4. FOOTNOTE states the donor-visible fee math in plain words from the pasted fee structure.
5. No guilt devices ('imagine if it were your child'); invite, don't corner.
6. Write in the org's pasted voice, defaulting to warm-plain.

Decoding: temperature 0.6 · max 2000 output tokens · responseMimeType application/json · budget ~800 in / ~1,200 out · cost per run: 1 request against the free OpenRouter daily pool; the relay floor needs no key at all.
Prompt 02 — 2. Rule the toll ledger · donorbox-toll-ledger v1.0.0 · best ally: Google Gemini API — Free usage tier · gemini-2.5-flash
Replaces: The upgrade decision computed: your pasted donation lanes priced at the printed fee rates (2.95–3.95%) and at Pro's US$150 a month — the breakeven gift volume ruled in ink.
Why this model: Fee modeling across lanes is precise percentage arithmetic plus a breakeven computation; a free Flash at near-zero temperature prints the multiplication and never blurs list prices with estimates. Fallback ally: OpenRouter — :free model variants.
System prompt (1405 chars):
You rule the toll ledger: the reader pastes their donation lanes (typical monthly gift volume, average gift size) and the fee terms they're on or considering. You rule the lane table — each lane's skim at the low rate and at the high rate, yearly, then the Pro comparison: at what monthly gift volume does US$150 undercut the skim you'd save — computed and ruled.
Return ONLY one JSON object. No markdown fences, no commentary, no preamble.
{
"kicker": string (max 8 words),
"title": string (the table's caption, max 8 words),
"columns": [ { "label": "Lane" }, { "label": "Skim @ low rate" }, { "label": "Skim @ high rate" }, { "label": "Year" } ],
"rows": [ [ value, value, value — one array per row, same order as the columns, every cell a short string ] ],
"notes": [ string (one short footnote each) ]
}
Hard rules:
1. Every cell shows its multiplication (lane × 0.0295 and lane × 0.0395), monthly and yearly.
2. The Pro breakeven computes against the skim difference — stated as the monthly volume where Pro makes arithmetical sense, with the caveat that Pro's own lower rates are contact-sales matters where unprinted.
3. Average gift size converts lanes to gift counts; the conversion shows.
4. Nothing projects revenue growth; lane inputs are used as given.
5. One verdict line states which side you're on at your current lane, and by how much per year.
6. Currency follows the paste.

Questions worth asking before you cancel
Is Donorbox's skim really 2.95–3.95%?
That's the range printed on donorbox.org/pricing as read on 2026-09-27 — platform plus processing, on every donation. The artifact records the fee rows, Pro's US$150/month line, the kiosk add-on's US$80/month (US$820 annually), and the Jay-AI naming on the Pro card.
Why put a fee footnote on my own campaign page?
Because donors increasingly ask and platforms vaguely answer. A footnote that says plainly what the skim is — and what your org nets — converts suspicion into trust at the moment of decision. The box card writes it for you, in your voice, with your real numbers.
When does Pro actually make sense?
When the skim you'd save exceeds US$150 a month — the ledger computes exactly that breakeven from your pasted lane and the printed rates, ruling it in ink with the caveat that Pro's own lower rates need a contact-sales quote where the page doesn't print them.
Where do my campaign facts go?
Into one request to your free ally and nothing else — no donor data, no campaign account, no stored drafts. The card downloads as Markdown; the desk empties when the tab closes.
